Schedule unit and participant equipment shakedowns.
The Records Manager records attendance at the shakedown session on the TAP Participant Details and informs the leaders accordingly.
Leaders carefully review each participant’s equipment preparations to ensure all participants have the required clothing and gear.
Schedule shakedowns to allow sufficient time after the shakedowns for participants to make any needed adjustments.
44 – Cash Advances
Adventure leaders, unit committee and unit treasurer determine how much cash and what payment options leaders must carry on the Adventure to cover expenses incurred along the way.
Include some contingency funds for emergencies.
Unit committee chair arranges with the unit treasurer to advance the Adventure leaders sufficient funds to cover expenses requiring cash payments en-route and at the destination.
