TAP Steps 39-41

39 – Crew  Equipment

To help with the equipment planning process, Adventure leaders should research BSA literature such as the BSA Fieldbook, the Sea Scout Manual, appropriate merit badge pamphlets for lists of equipment listings that would be appropriate for their Adventure.

Inventory existing unit equipment and determine what is on hand and what must be purchased, rented, borrowed or available if traveling to a BSA High Adventure Base.

40 – Equipment Purchases and Rentals

Make arrangements to rent and/or purchase new equipment as required.

Records Manager enters equipment expenses on the TAP Expense/Income Record.

41 – Individual Equipment

Referring to the TAP Equipment Checklist, Leaders adjust the individual equipment requirements to fit the Adventure and email the equipment list to all participants.
